The local product that has been named by Unesco as one of Greece’s intangible cultural heritage-Mastic-derived from the mastic trees grown and cultivated exclusively on the island of Eastern Aegean Sea, Chios, constitutes the focal point of the students’ activities throughout the project. |

Literacy and Drama: Dramatization of an old folk tale.
Students read a book about Chios and its precious mastic trees, while their Drama teacher adopted it into a screenplay and they start rehearsing and acting out the story, getting ready for their meetings and cultural festival in Kallithea, Athens. |
