GREEN SKILLS FOR SOCIAL AGRICULTURE

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project develops skills and competences in a vertical form, targeting students from primary school to the last year of upper secondary. We intend to address:
a) the presence of a growing number of disadvantaged, unmotivated pupils, with learning difficulties, people leaving school with very modest basic skills compromising further studies, active participation in social and democratic life and consequently the enjoyment of the right to citizenship;
b) the lack of interest in their own territory, both in its real problems and in the prospects it offers;
c) the lack of a vision of their future in terms of employment, attitudes to cultivate.
Based on these needs, the project aims on the one hand to provide students with skills appropriate to secure them a better preparation for the future, to promote learning and adapting to changes in society; on the other hand it aims to guide them towards choices, help them plan their future employment with a broader vision, open to Europe.

AIMS

Supporting schools to tackle early school leaving (ESL) and disadvantage as well as to address all students from the lowest to the highest end of the academic spectrum; Addressing underachievement in the basic skills of maths, science and literacy through more effective, innovative teaching methods; Transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications to facilitate learning, employability and labour mobility.

WORK PROCESS

The partnership will focus on sharing, development and transfer of innovative practices in education between the participating schools; on the links with companies that will improve the central aspect of training; on the use of the mother tongue and languages in a practical context; on the use of technologies in work activities. Mobilities: November 2016 in Hungary, April 2017 in Spain, October
2017 in Romania, March 2018 in Italy, Bulgaria in May 2018 for the week of the European Festival of quality products. On the first meeting will be assigned responsibilities for all tasks to carried out in the two years of the project.

EXPECTED RESULTS

The results will be available freely via E-Twinning and other web platforms used. We foresee that we will be asked to upload the documentation, the proofs of the work done on the European dissemination platform, and we will do it, giving full information on how to access curricular plans, the reports, the products, including DVDs and ebooks.
The planning documents will be accessible also on the schools’ sites, in digital and paper format.
However, all partners will have to provide information and products to all those who make request of them with a good validated educational reason.
