LITERACY – GEOGRAPHY
The pupils of St1 Class (6th grade) study the microclimate of south Chios which permits the Mastic trees to grow only on this part of Chios Island. They draw the climate map of the region called “Mastic Villages”. This project is also a result of our school’s participation in the thematic network “When nature creates culture” of the Center of Environmental Education of Chios
LANGUAGE- ART
The pupils of St2 Class (6th grade) learn the mechanism and the persuasive ways that advertisers use to promote a certain good to consumers. They use these techniques to create their own advertisements for Chios Mastic
They draw and colour their own advertisements promoting Chios Mastic and presenting its miraculous properties
NEEDS-H
The pupils with special needs participate in small mixed ability groups in every activity, they benefit from peer coaching and they contribute to the common goal according to their abilities e.g. suggest ideas for the text of the advertisement and draw and colour them.
